This page explains what AudioConnect does with your data, in plain language — including the analytics that help us understand app usage.
AudioConnect uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how the app is used and to improve it over time. This may include:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or the contents of the audio you stream. Audio itself is never captured by analytics or sent to any analytics server.
Google Analytics (via Firebase) collects usage data on our behalf so we can see which features are useful, catch crashes, and prioritize improvements. Google may process this data according to its own privacy terms.

AudioConnect requests the following Android permissions solely to enable its core functionality:
RECORD_AUDIO — captures microphone audio to stream to your PC. This audio is streamed locally over Wi-Fi and is never stored or uploaded anywhere.INTERNET — establishes the local Wi-Fi connection between your phone and PC, and allows analytics events to be sent to Google's servers.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — powers the Auto-Scan feature that discovers PCs on your local Wi-Fi network.FOREGROUND_SERVICE — keeps the audio stream alive while the app runs in the background.AudioConnect's core function — streaming audio — operates entirely within your local Wi-Fi network. Audio data is transmitted directly between your phone and your PC over your home or office network and never touches an external server, cloud service, or third party. Only anonymous analytics events (described above) leave your device.
AudioConnect is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Analytics data collected is aggregate and not used to identify individual users of any age.
No personal data (name, email, phone number, or audio content) is collected or stored by AudioConnect. Analytics data is transmitted securely to Google's servers and handled under Google's own security and privacy practices. Audio streaming within your local network is inherently scoped to devices you control.
This Privacy Policy applies to AudioConnect across all official distributions:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
